COMPETITION – Panel Magazine – Cover Design
Calling all artists, writers, poets, and photographers: Do you want to see your artwork on the cover of the next issue of Panel Magazine. If so, check below...
Hopefully, we’ve had the pleasure to meet you at the Painters Palace on Saturday (or rather you’re here right now with us celebrating the moment and reading this when you get home). In collaboration with my friends and literary conspirators, we’ve put together the second issue of Panel Magazine (now live on our website, go check it out!). We’re very proud of this issue, and we hope you enjoy it too.
If you missed out on the party, a little bit about us. We publish contemporary literature, poetry, art, photography, and creative non-fiction from the Central and Eastern European region. We are now open to submissions for all written work, so don’t be shy and submit.
For the artists among you want to make an exciting announcement. In collaboration with the Painters Palace, we’re running an art contest to get your work featured on our next cover; runners-up will get featured in the magazine.
We open the special call for artists from Central and Eastern Europe to submit their art works for the next issue of Panel magazine. The best works will make the cover of issue # 3 and get to illustrate the prose features of the magazine.

Who can enter
Anyone who is 18 years of age or older, currently living in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
What we are looking for
Art works produced in different techniques (drawings, paintings, graphics, collages etc). Photos are also welcome but won’t be our priority this time. No specific theme required although we always appreciate artistic courage and incites. You can submit solo works or works that work best when in pair. All works must be original, too.

The artist retains all copyrights to their artwork without exception.
Non-exclusive Permissions
By entering this art competition, you are granting a non-exclusive perpetual license to reproduce images of your artwork in Panel magazine and on our website panel-magazine.com, as well as in the social media and other promoting purposes to the general public.
File Sizes and Formats
Your images are best represented at 1500px on the shortest side and at a resolution of 300dpi.The acceptable file formats are: jpg, gif, and png.
The Entry Process
Please submit up to 3 art works and a cover letter via panel.editors@gmail.com
Deadline for entries – January 15, 2019 (midnight, Central European time).
Prizes
We will honor three winners. The 1st place winner get their art featured on the cover of the next issue of Panel (Winter 2019), the art selected for the 2nd and the 3rd place will be used to accompany the prose and poetry pieces of the magazine. The winners will also appear on a featured bio page inside of the magazine.
