The Butterfly Effect of the Leningrad Symphony

by Frank Thomas Rosen

I break

Sideways

Hammered

By the blue light

Sleeping bags

Under my eyes

Way below zero

A cassette-tape

Rattles my

Beetle:

The Symphony #7

From the shores

Of Lake Ladoga

A frozen dove

Dropped

On Berlin

I flag down

A single note

Just take it

Without a peep

The misshapen

Allegretto

The diesel – deep

In my cabin.
