Loss

Panel magazine was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Paul Olchvary on February 14th.

We published Paul's original fiction in our anthology, "If We're Talking Budapest", and an excerpt from Paul's translation of "My First Two Hundred Years" in our very first issue.

Paul was more than a formative voice, he was a friend to us and a leader. He set an example in the exactitude of his work as well as in his treatment of non-native speakers and relatively unknown writers.

We are heartbroken that he is gone. He is not forgotten
