Panel Issue#5 Launch Party
June 28th, 7 pm
Massolit Books&Cafe (Budapest, Nagy Diofa utca, 30).
Panel Issue#5 Launch Party!
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Panel's issue #5 was first released as a downloadable PDF, and its pre-launch was hosted online.
Now, as the number of cases in Budapest dwindles and quarantine restriction are lifted, the time has arrived to launch the magazine in earnest!
Please join us in Massolit's garden, where we'll be practising social distancing while reading from the new issue and selling print copies (at a discounted price).
The line up includes such authors as Adam Berta (short fiction), L?ke András (short fiction), Márió Z. Nemes (poetry, Duncan Robertson reading the English version), Pénzes Tímea (short fiction, Christie Goodwin reading), Rusvai Monika (short fiction; Budapest Friday Night Stories project).
The evening's second part will be devoted to Budapest Friday Night Stories readings (even though it will be on a Sunday) -- a project that is closely related to Panel, in which we give a stage to writers who haven't yet been published in Panel.
Besides the readings, you'll have the chance to:
- purchase an issue of the new Panel (at a discounted price), along with anything else on sale in Massolit;
- enjoy an evening in the garden with a follow-up in the bars of the 7th district;
- talk to other people in real life and not through video conferencing software.
Since we'll be having the party outdoors, in Massolit's lovely garden, we'd appreciate it if you registered for the event via firstname.lastname@example.org, so we can get a better sense of the number of people that will be in attendance.
We're looking forward to seeing everyone!
(Please, do your best to arrive on time, since space may be limited)
