Literary and art weekend - THE EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED
May 19-21, 2023
Spend a weekend in a lovely Budapest, together with the established and emerging European writers, poets, artists -- all sorts of creative people.
The Literary and Art Weekend is a program of creative workshops, literary readings, city walks, artistic mingling, and exploring beautiful city in the center of Europe, all in a good company.
This weekend-long workshop is a new project from the Panel team, aimed at bringing people together in Budapest for the purpose of creating literature and art.

During the Literary and Art Workshop Weekend three workshops will take place:
"Novel/Short Story Writing" with Duncan Robertson
"Facing ourselves": memoir writing with Ákos Szolcsányi and Sabrina Small (Berlin)
"Bring your art to augmented reality": creating visual contemporary art with Maria Gyarmati

The classes will be held in the morning hours, in Oktatoterem facilities, in the center of Budapest.
Each class will be followed by optional (but highly recommended) afternoon activities.
Afternoon program will include:
- readings and discussions at Massolit Books&Cafe;
- a reception opening party;
- an excursion around Budapest with one of the best tour guides in town Claudia Leporatti;
- feedback on your work;
- getting to know Budapest and all it has to offer: ruin pubs, thermals, bridges, small cafes, charming neighborhoods.

General schedule of the workshop
The workshop program will begin on Friday, May 19, 7 pm, with an informal reception party at Massolit Books&Cafe.
Saturday
10.00 – 14.00 – classes
15.00-17.00 – a guide tour around Budapest with Claudia Leporatti
19.00 – readings from the participants of the workshop at Massolit Books&Cafe
Sunday
10.00 – 14.00 – classes
15.00 – 17.00 – program at choice (thermal baths, Ludwig museum, wine tasting, spare time)
18.00 – readings from the participants, introducing art pieces that have been made during the workshop.
20.00 – closing of the workshop at Massolit Books&Cafe
Fee: 200 EUR (78.500 HUF) per one student\one workshop*.
The tuition fee covers one selected workshop, and all afternoon and evening activities included in the program. It doesn't cover travel costs, accommodation, meals.
